Harrison, TN : Motorcyclist in stable condition after Highway 58 crash on Sunday, May 8, 2016

A motorcyclist was in stable condition Sunday after a crash on Highway 58 in Harrison, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said.

A news release said Clarence Wilson was riding his Harley-Davidson south on Highway 58 in the right lane when a southbound pickup truck in the left lane turned across his path. The impact sent the truck onto its side with a smashed front hood and windshield.

The truck's driver, Travis Fuson, told authorities he was trying to make a right turn onto Ramseytown Road from the far left traffic lane.

Fuson's injuries were minor, the release stated.

Another wreck on Highway 58 in Meigs County on Friday killed four people. The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Sunday the search was still on for the truck driver whose trailer came loose and smashed into two oncoming cars.

John Wesley Bennett, 34, bailed from the truck and fled into the woods after the crash. Though law enforcement has searched for him with manpower, dogs and helicopters, he was still at large as of Sunday evening.
