DeKalb County, GA : 2 treated after crash in DeKalb County on Sunday, 30th June 2019

A Grand Ledge, Michigan, man and his 11-year-old passenger were taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center on Sunday afternoon after the man lost control of the car he was driving in DeKalb County.

Just before 4 p.m., Jeffery Nartker, 59, was driving north in the left lane on Interstate 69, just north of the 322-mile marker, when police said Nartker ran his 2004 Honda Accord off the left shoulder.

Nartker overcorrected, the DeKalb County sheriff's department said in a statement, causing the car to spin out of control, crossing both northbound lanes.

The car continued to travel off the right shoulder, struck an embankment and went back into the highway, coming to stop resting on its roof, the statement said.
