MANATEE COUNTY, FL : Driver suffers critical injuries in I-75 crash on May, Sunday, 21st 2017

A southbound driver on Interstate 75 was critically injured early Sunday morning when his pickup truck ran off the road, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

According to reports, Robert Garrett Waldon, 33, of Valrico, Florida, was traveling south on I-75, approaching University Parkway around 1:50 a.m., in the inside lane. For unknown reasons, Waldon lost control of his truck, crossed the center and outside lanes, and spun off the roadway onto the right shoulder. He then struck a tree on the west side of the Interstate.

Waldon suffered critical injuries in the accident, which remains under investigation.
