Milwaukee, WI : 39-year-old man dead in hit-and-run crash on Thursday August 6th 2015

Milwaukee police are still searching for a hit-and-run driver who left a 39-year-old man dead.Brian Hamilton was crossing the road at 14th and Atkinson streets at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Rozina Pointer said she walked up on the accident, and the victim turned out to be her boyfriend.
"They ran him over and killed him," she said. "This is outrageous. He was a good guy. He didn't hurt nobody.”
Pointer said Hamilton had gone to a nearby liquor store to get some items for his birthday party when he was hit crossing the street. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police said the vehicle was a small, dark car with tinted windows that was speeding through the area.
Alderwoman Milele Coggs is urging the driver and anyone with information about the crash to come forward to police.
“It's hard enough to lose a loved one but to not know how it happened or who did it makes it even that much harder,” Coggs said. “You would hope that people would have a heart enough that if they do accidentally hit somebody they would stay or at least report it to the police department so the family could have some closure.”
