A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Reidville Road in Spartanburg early Thursday.
The incident occurred about five miles west of Spartanburg when the motorcyclist veered off the right side of the roadway and struck a curb around 1:15 a.m., S.C. Highway Patrol trooper Joe Hovis said.
The motorcyclist, later identified as 23-year-old Neil Alexander Harlan, of Bushy Creek Road in Woodruff, was ejected and died at the scene, Hovis said.
Harlan was wearing a helmet, he said.
Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said an official cause of death will be determined after an examination.
"Please keep this decedent and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this loss," Clevenger said in an email.
There were no other injuries.
