Grafton, WI : One man dead in a wrong-way crash on I-94 in Kenosha County on early Sunday morning September 21st 2014
The man killed in a wrong-way crash on I-94 in Kenosha County was identified Monday as Robert F. Miller of Grafton.
The crash injured three other people and occurred just before 1 a.m. Sunday on northbound I-94 just north of Highway 142.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a white pickup truck driven by Alejandro Ramirez Gonzalez, 19, was traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-94 about 12:50 a.m. Sunday. A state trooper had pulled over the truck, which fled soon after stopping and continued going the wrong way on I-94.
The wrong-way truck crashed into a truck driven by Miller, 48, who was traveling the correct direction on I-94. Miller's passenger, a 47-year-old Grafton woman, was seriously injured.
Gonzalez, the wrong-way driver, suffered life-threatening injuries, and his passenger, a 17-year-old girl, also was injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the State Patrol.
