A woman was sent to Iredell Memorial Hospital following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of East Sharpe and South Tradd streets Wednesday afternoon.
A champagne Dodge four-door vehicle was traveling North on Tradd Street when a red Chevrolet, traveling west, ran a stop sign, according to Statesville Police Officer David Lowery. Their speeds were unknown, but the Chevrolet, driven by Ashley Keiger, 19, T-boned the Dodge driven by Bryant Mumpower, 32.
Both drivers were checked by EMS, Lowery said. A pregnant woman riding in the Dodge, Samantha Blackwell, was taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to Mumpower.
Lowery said no tickets were issued, but the investigation will continue.
