Toledo, OH : Two people died in a crash involving a tractor trailer-rig and another vehicle on Williston Road in Northwood on Tuesday morning, Sep 8, 2015

Two people are dead after a crash on Williston Road in Northwood Tuesday morning.

Police on scene say the head-on crash happened around 9:00 a.m. and involved a semi and a Saturn Aura.

Lake Township Police Chief Mark Hummer says the semi was hauling milk when it collided with a car.

Philip Huffman, 70, from Addison, Michigan was driving the semi eastbound on State Route 579 when the driver of the car, Robert Wooten, 73, of Toledo traveled left of center going westbound on State Route 579 and hit the semi head on.

Carol Wooten, 72, was a passenger in the car. Both Mr. and Ms. Wooten were pronounced dead on the scene. Ms. Wooten was also from Toledo. Their relationship is unknown at this time.

Huffman was not injured.

Williston was closed to traffic starting at Woodville Road for about 4 hours Tuesday while crews cleared the scene.
