EVANSVILLE, IN : Child taken to hospital after head-on crash in Evansville on Thursday, 15th September 2016

A child was taken to the hospital after a head-on crash in Evansville.

It happened around 12:30 Thursday afternoon on First Ave., in front of Central High School.

Police say a man was driving a pickup truck south on First Ave. when the vehicle drifted into the northbound lanes, hitting an SUV.

A child inside the SUV was taken to an area hospital to get checked out. We're told the child had minor injuries and was mostly just shaken up.

Police say the driver of the truck told them he had just gotten off his shift at Toyota and was "really tired."
