A teenager is charged after hitting a car in east Charlotte early Sunday morning.
According to police, Jesus Eduardo Sanchez, 17, driving a Ford F250, ran a red light on N. Sharon Amity Road at Vernedale.
He hit a Pontiac with three people inside, trapping two of the people inside the car. The driver of the Pontiac is being treated at Carolinas Medical Center for serious injuries. One passenger of the car is also at CMC being treated for injuries. The second passenger has been treated and released.
The suspect is charged with a felony hit and run, DWI, consuming under 21, no operators license and felony serious injury by vehicle.
