St. Louis, MO : Fenton man killed in crash on Interstate 270 on Wednesday afternoon, December 16, 2015

A Fenton man was fatally injured in a crash on Interstate 270 when his car rammed into the back of a van that had slowed for debris in the road Wednesday afternoon.

Duc H. Duong, 47, was taken to St. Anthony's Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 4:10 p.m., about half an hour after the crash.

Duong was driving northbound on Interstate 270 west of Interstate 55 when a 2011 Chevrolet Express van in front of him slowed for debris in the road, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol. Duong did not slow down and his 2015 Hyundai Accent slammed into the rear of the van.

Duong's vehicle then went off the side of the road and hit a guardrail. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The 21-year-old driver of the van was not injured, according to the patrol. He was wearing a seat belt.
