Jersey City, NJ : Woman, 23, killed in wrong-way crash on Garden State Parkway on February, Monday 19th 2018

A 23-year-old woman driving the wrong way on the Garden State Parkway Sunday night was killed when she collided with another vehicle, authorities said.

Shannon Whooley, of the Fords section of Woodbridge, was traveling north in the southbound lanes near milepost 128.7 in Woodbridge when she struck a car headed south, State Police said Monday morning.

Whooley was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other car, described only as a man, was hospitalized in serious condition. Neither his age nor his hometown was provided.
