Two people were taken to a hospital after they were struck by a vehicle Friday night near Point Mugu State Park, officials said.
The California Highway Patrol reported the crash at 8:30 p.m. at Pacific Coast Highway and Sycamore Canyon Road. Both people were taken to Ventura County Medical Center after the crash, the patrol reported.
Crews on the scene with the Ventura County Fire Department reported the pair suffered critical injuries, and the patrol classified it as a major-injury crash.
Pacific Coast Highway was closed for a time due to the crash but reopened at 9:32 p.m., officials said.
