Isabella County, MI : 49-year-old Midland woman died in crash on Baseline Road in Isabella County on Saturday, June 20, 2015

A 49-year-old Midland woman died Saturday of injuries she suffered a week before in an Isabella County traffic crash.

Michigan State Police from the Mount Pleasant Post report Rhonda Northard died Saturday afternoon.

Troopers said alcohol was a factor in the crash, which occurred on Baseline Road in Isabella County on June 20 when the 2002 Dodge Dakota driven by Northard went off the road and struck a tree about 8 p.m.

She was trapped in the truck and was extricated by firefighters from the Isabella North East Fire Department. She was airlifted by Aero Med to Spectrum Health for the treatment.

Her passenger, a 42-year-old Midland man, also was hurt and was taken to the McLaren Central Michigan Hospital by Mobile Medical Response for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. His name was not released.
