Lafayette Parish, LA : 56-year-old Peter J. Ransonet died in motorcycle collision on East Milton Avenue in Youngsville on Sunday, March 13, 2016

A man died when his motorcycle was hit in Youngsville on Sunday.

According to the Youngsville Police Department, Peter J. Ransonet, 56, was killed on East Milton Avenue Sunday. A car had been traveling west on East Milton Avenue and, not seeing Ransonet approaching on his motorcycle in the opposite direction, turned left in front of him.

The crash remains under investigation.
