Two DeWitt residents died Saturday in a motorcycle crash.

Michael Dann, 29, of DeWitt, and Trista Nath, 25, of DeWitt, died in the one-vehicle crash. Law enforcement officials were called to the scene at 7:20 p.m. Saturday at 277th and Territorial Road in LeClaire.

According to a report by the Iowa State Patrol's office, Dann, with Nath as a passenger on the motorcycle, was traveling west on Territorial Road while going around a curve. He lost control and went off the traveled portion of the road and both occupants were thrown off the motorcycle, causing life threatening injuries.

Neither Dann nor Nath were wearing a helmet. The accident remains under investigation.
