FULTONDALE, AL : 1 dead in I-65 crash in Jefferson County on Saturday, 23rd December 2023

A person was killed in a crash on I-65 northbound Saturday evening in Jefferson County.

According to Fultondale Fire and Rescue Capt. Brad Cantrell, there was a two-vehicle wreck involving a sedan and tractor-trailer. Gayla Ingle, 27, of Florence, was killed in the crash when the vehicle she was driving struck the rear of a tractor-trailer that was parked on the shoulder of the interstate. Ingle was not using a seat-belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
