Ogletown, DE : Newark woman critically hurt after flipping car in Ogletown on Friday, 20th March, 2020

A 66-year-old Newark woman was sent to the hospital in critical condition after a crash in Ogletown Friday morning.

Delaware State Police said the woman drifted off the road while changing lanes, then returned to the road and rear-ended another vehicle.

At around 6:20 a.m., the woman was going east on Chestnut Hill Road (Route 4) in a Chevy Cavalier, police said. As she approached the intersection at Pearson Drive, she was passed by an Acura MDX, driven by a 55-year-old Elkton, Maryland, woman, going in the same direction, Delaware State Police said.

Police said that's when the Newark woman changed lanes, then drifted to off the road to the center grass, then returning and hitting the Acura.
