Great Falls, MT : Woman dies in McCone County crash Saturday evening on Montana Highway 24 near mile marker 35 on August 2, 2014
A Kentucky woman died after a rollover crash in McCone County on Saturday.
The crash happened Saturday evening on Montana Highway 24 near mile marker 35.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol the driver and the passenger were heading north in a 2005 Pontiac car when the driver caught sight of deer on the side of the road.
The driver, distracted by the deer, drifted off the road and then over-corrected and traveled over both lanes of the road.
The car then rolled over in a ditch and the passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the car; she was pronounced dead on scene.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, but it's unknown if speed was.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
The condition of the driver was not disclosed.
