Ravenna, OH : Two-vehicle crash in Springfield Township in Summit County on April, Monday 16th 2017
A Kent man suffered serious injuries Monday, during a two-vehicle crash in Springfield Township in Summit County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Bradley L. Miller, 19, of Kent, was riding a 2000 Suzuki Z400 motorcycle at 4:42 p.m. that day when he apparently struck the rear of a 2017 Honda Pilot stopped on Canton Road, waiting to turn left onto Greenleaf Road.
Miller, who was wearing a helmet, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Akron City Hospital for evaluation, the highway patrol said. The driver of the Pilot, 59-year-old Deborah J. Cutright of Akron, was not injured.
Her front seat passenger, Gary L. Cutright, 63, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Summa Hospital in Green for evaluation, troopers said. Two juveniles in the Pilot were not injured, and all occupants of the Pilot were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to the highway patrol.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation by the highway patrol's Canton post.
