Decatur County, IA : Man killed when car crosses I-35 median, hit by truck on Monday night, June 20, 2016

A fatal crash on Interstate 35 Monday night remains under investigation.

Authorities reported the crash at 6:43 p.m. in the I-35 northbound lanes at mile marker 12 in Decatur County.

An Iowa State Patrol crash report shows a Ford Taurus driven by Dorrian Phillip Wehr, 20, of Overland Park, Kansas, was southbound when it crossed the median and was hit broadside by a northbound Ford F550 driven by Larry Moores, 41, of Clutier.

Troopers said Wehr was killed in the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt, the report shows.

Moores was taken to the Decatur County Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
