Yorkville, WI : 1 dead, 1 injured in Racine County crash on Tuesday, July 8, 2014

One person is dead after a crash in Racine Tuesday.

Lt. Dan Klatt said the 2-car crash happened on Plank Road near South Raynor Avenue in the Town of Yorkville just before 11 a.m.

Investigators believe a pickup truck was heading west on Plank Road when a car traveling north on Raynor Avenue entered the intersection and was struck.

The female driver of the car was partially ejected from the car and suffered critical injuries. She later died at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital in Racine. Klatt said the woman was not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the pickup truck sustained less serious injuries and was also taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital.
