Mankato, MN : Former MSU hockey coach struck by hit-and-run crash in downtown Mankato on Friday, Oct 23, 2015

Mankato police have identified Donald Brose, the former Minnesota State University men's hockey coach, as the person who was hit by a car just before noon Friday in downtown Mankato.
Brose, 75, was struck by what police believe was a small to mid-size brown SUV while crossing South Second Street near Walnut Street. The vehicle had been southbound on Second Street before it turned into the westbound lane of Walnut Street and left the scene.
Brose was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to city officials.
Brose was head coach of MSU's hockey team from 1969 to 2000. He led MSU to one national title and finished his 34-year career with 536 wins, 327 losses and 72 ties.
