Baltimore, MD : Woman struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Baltimore on Wednesday, April 1, 2015

A woman was struck and killed by a driver in a dark-colored Toyota pickup who left the scene Wednesday night, Baltimore police said.

The crash happened at 10:20 p.m. in the 1300 block W. North Avenue in the area of Penn North/Druid Heights. Police said the car struck the woman and left without stopping. The victim, who was not identified Thursday morning, was taken to an area hospital where she died.

Police are searching for the Toyota pickup, which had been traveling east on North Avenue. Police said the truck should have front-end damage.
