Las Vegas, NV : Motorcyclist critically injured in south Las Vegas crash on Wednesday, June 28, 2017
A 19-year-old woman is in critical condition after her motorcycle and another vehicle collided about 11 a.m. Wednesday in the south valley, Las Vegas police said.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard South and West Agate Avenue, near Serene Avenue, police spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.
She said the motorcyclist was taken to University Medical Center and is suffering from what may be life-threatening injuries.
Police said a 69-year-old woman driving a Ford Escort was crossing Las Vegas Boulevard South when the motorcycle, traveling north, struck the driver’s side of the sedan.
The 19-year-old was thrown from the motorcycle. Police said she was wearing a helmet. The sedan driver did not show signs of impairment and was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
Police closed the northbound lanes of Las Vegas Boulevard between Serene and Pebble avenues, Meltzer said, but they have since reopened.
