BAY POINT, CA : Car passenger dies on Thanksgiving Day from crash injuries on Thursday, November, 23rd 2017

A 25-year-old Antioch man died Thursday from injuries he suffered the day before in a three-vehicle collision, authorities reported.

The man was a passenger in a Nissan traveling northbound on Bailey Road just south of the Keller Canyon landfill when the accident occurred about 6:55 a.m. Wednesday, the Bay Cities News Service reported Friday in a story attributed to the California Highway Patrol.

The Nissan driver lost control on wet pavement and swerved into the path of a Toyota, which struck the passenger side of the Nissan, Bay Cities reported.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he died on Thanksgiving Day.

CHP officials could not be reached immediately to discuss more details of the accident.
