AURORA, CO : Aurora intersection closed after fatal hit-and-run crash on Friday, 23rd February 2024

A driver in a vehicle with no license plates sped from a traffic stop, ran a red light and hit and killed a pedestrian who was crossing the road in a crosswalk early Friday morning, according to police.

The crash happened about 5 a.m. at the intersection of East Colfax Avenue and Havana Street, according to the Aurora Police Department.
