Snowmobile driver injured after crash in Spencer

A snowmobile driver was injured after he was struck by a vehicle Sunday afternoon in the town of Spencer.

The crash occurred at about 5 p.m. on 26th Road between Eagle Road and Highway D.

The vehicle rolled into a ditch and the snowmobile was a total loss, Marathon County Sheriff’s Lt. Fred Goch said.

The victim had a head injury but declined to be transferred to the hospital, Goch said.

Marathon County Sheriff’s Department and Spencer Police Department responded to the crash.
