Katy, TX : 1 dead, 1 hospitalized after crash in Katy area on Friday, 26th April 2019

A truck driver died at the scene early Friday after a trailer from another 18-wheeler broke lose and slammed into his vehicle, officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety said.The fatal crash happened about 2:30 a.m. along a section of westbound Interstate 10 at Pederson in Waller County, officials said.State troopers identified the fatal crash victim as a 59-year-old Nevada resident. The passenger in his truck, an unidentified 26-year-old woman, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center where DPS officials said she was listed in stable condition.
