Madeira, OH : Three children, 1 adult injured in Madeira crash Friday morning on May 30, 2014
A 10-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Camargo Road in Maderia Friday morning.
Police say a woman lost control of her Saturn, which went left of center and crashed into a minivan around 7:30 a.m. on Camargo Road south of Shawnee Run Road.
The impact forced the Saturn off the left side of the roadway and onto a grassy shoulder.
Amie Woodward, 33, of Cincinnati, who was driving the Saturn, was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with minor injuries, according to police.
Woodward's 10-year-old son, Corban Hansen, was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center with serious, life-threatening injuries. Her daughters, ages 8 and 2, were not injured.
The 10-year-old was initially unresponsive, according to a dispatcher, but became responsive before being transported to the hospital.
The two occupants of the minivan, driver Sheryl Melvin, 57, and passenger Becca Melvin, 19, of Loveland were also not injured.
Deputies say all occupants from both vehicles were properly secured with seat beats or child seats.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not known to be a factor at this time and charges are pending further investigation, deputies say.
Camargo Road near Burman Meadow Drive was shut down for more than three hours Friday as authorities investigated the crash.
The accident remains under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit.
