South West valley wreck injures 2

A motorist suffered critical injuries today in a two-vehicle collision in southwest Las Vegas that also injured a second person.


Metro Police responded about 8:45 a.m. to a crash between a van and sedan at Russell Road and Durango Drive. Two people were transported to University Medical Center Trauma. One of them had life-threatening injuries; the other’s condition was not known at this time, Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said.

Eastbound lanes on Russell Road at Durango Drive are closed to traffic while Metro investigates the collision.
