Beaumont, TX : Two SE Texans killed in Louisiana crash on Friday, October 6, 2017

Louisiana State Police confirm that two Southeast Texans were killed in a car crash this morning in Calcasieu Parish's Carylss neighborhood.
A two-vehicle crash was reported around 7 a.m. on Louisiana Highway 108 at Highway 27 South of Sulphur, according to a statement.
The initial investigation revealed 39-year-old Jason Creel from was driving a 2008 Chevy Cobalt with passenger Wimberly Roddey, 39, east on LA 108. The driver allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign at LA 27, police said. The Cobalt collided with a 2016 Toyota Tundra pickup truck driven by a Sulphur man, the statement said.
Creel was pronounced dead at the scene; Roddey was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries where she later died. Neither was wearing a seatbelt. Both Jefferson County residents, according to the department.
The other driver had only minor injuries.
Toxicology samples were taken from both drivers for analysis. The crash remains under investigation.
