Circleville, OH : One driver serious condition after a crash near State Route 762 in Pickaway County on Monday, February 1, 2016

All lanes of U.S. 23 are reopened near State Route 762 in Pickaway County after a serious crash.

The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office says five vehicles were involved. Based on witness statements, deputies say a southbound car crossed into the northbound lanes, hit a northbound vehicle and caused a chain reaction crash. The sheriff’s office said the driver of the southbound car, who is named the at-fault driver, is still at Grant Medical Center in serious condition.

Four other people were taken to area hospitals and have been released.

The road reopened at about 2 pm.

The sheriff’s office said there was no indication of drugs or alcohol, but the crash remains under investigation.
