State College, PA : Man injured after I-80 single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning, May 4, 2016

A single-vehicle rollover crash occurred early Wednesday morning, according to state police at Rockview.
Joseph Renee Maynard, 29, of Connecticut, was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for undisclosed injuries. Police said in a release that his vehicle, a 2015 Hyundai Accent, sustained “major damage.” The crash occurred at about 2:30 a.m.
Maynard was driving eastbound on Interstate 80 near the Milesburg exit at an unknown speed when he fell asleep and the vehicle went off the right side of the road. The vehicle went up an embankment for about 100 feet before hitting small trees and shrubs, continuing for about 60 more feet. The vehicle then rolled over three to four times before stopping on its roof.
Maynard was wearing a seat belt, and multiple airbags deployed.
Milesburg Fire Company and Bellefonte EMS responded to the crash.
