MEDINA, OH : A Delphos man was killed in a crash on Monday, August 28, 2017

A Delphos man was killed in a crash involving three vehicles Monday night in Medina, the Medina Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

Matthew J. Krendl, 54, was stopped in the right lane of Interstate 71 when a Freightliner, driven by 45-year-old Petrsor Adrian, of Quebec, Canada, crashed into his Toyota 4 Runner.

Both vehicles traveled off the right side of the road, went over an embankment and continued into a wooded area. Debris from the crash struck a Chevrolet Camaro driven by 29-year-old Bryan Smith, of Wooster.

Krendl was killed in the accident, while Adrian suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Smith was uninjured.

Seat belts were used by all drivers, and speed and alcohol were not considered factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
