Jennings,FL : Live Oak man in critical condition after Sunday night wreck on August, Sunday 13th 2017
A one-car accident Sunday evening left a Live Oak man in critical condition and a Jennings man in serious condition.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 34-year-old Ramiro Gomez-Dominguez, of Live Oak, was driving south on County Road 141 in Hamilton County when he lost control entering a left-hand curve around 7:40 p.m.
The 2001 Hyundai Elantra traveled off the road into the ditch on the east side of CR-141 and hit a tree, the FHP report says.
Gomez-Dominguez was life-flighted to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition, according to the report.
A passenger in the car, 25-year-old Sergio Deigo, of Jennings, was transported by Hamilton County Fire and Rescue to South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta with non-life-threatening injuries.
FHP is still investigating the accident.
Charges are pending the outcome of that investigation and the role alcohol played in the accident is part of the investigation.
