One person is dead after a report Monday morning of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in Lakeside Park

A white sheet is covering a body in the road on Dixie Highway at Hudson Avenue, according to Fox19.

Lakeside Park police and fire crews were called to the area about 6:45 a.m., according to Kenton County dispatchers.

AirCare was asked to respond, but then the medical helicopter was told to stand down, they said.

Police have put crime tape up across Dixie Highway while they investigate.

Traffic is being diverted onto Hudson Avenue until further notice.
