Allentown, PA : 18-year-old driver from Pen Argyl killed in crash on Saturday September 24 2016
An 18-year-old driver from Pen Argyl was killed early Saturday in a rollover accident in Monroe County, state police said.
The driver, who was not publicly identified, was pronounced dead at the scene at Route 33 in Ross Township after being thrown from her sport utility vehicle, police said in a news release.
The wreck occurred at 12:15 a.m. when her car was traveling north, police said. It veered off the highway and hit an embankment, became airborne and flipped "multiple" times, police said.
The car crashed into a large traffic sign and came to rest in the middle of the highway, facing west, police said.
