One killed, one hurt in Wednesday morning crash east of Bellefonte
Arkansas State Police were investigating a late Wednesday morning two-vehicle crash that killed one woman on Highway 62 just east of Bellefonte.
State Police Sgt. Matt Miller said a Loomis armored vehicle was eastbound on Highway 62 about a mile east of Bellefonte and a passenger car was westbound.
The woman driving the westbound vehicle crossed the center line and hit the Loomis truck head on, killing her, Miller said.
Her name wasn’t released about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday pending notification of next of kin, Miller said.
The driver of the Loomis truck wasn’t hurt, but a passenger riding in the rear of the truck was hurt and taken by ambulance for treatment, Miller said.
