RENO COUNTY, KS : 1 killed in crash on US-50 in Sylvia in western Reno County on Monday, 29th April 2019

One person is dead after a Monday afternoon crash on US-50 in Sylvia in western Reno County. It happened about 1:30 p.m.

the Reno County Sheriff's Office says the crash involved a Saturn and a pickup pulling a trailer. The truck was traveling eastbound on Highway 50 and the car was traveling north on Thompson Street.

The sheriff's office says the Saturn's driver failed to yield crossing US-50 and the car hit the pickup's front passenger side. The Saturn's driver died at the scene, the sheriff's office says.

Highway 50 was closed at Thompson Street in Sylvia.
