TOWN OF SCOTT, WI : Fatal crash in Brown County leaves one dead on Thursday, 27th June 2024

One person died following a crash Thursday afternoon on northbound STH 57 at Gerzek Rd, in the Town of Scott.

Deputies and firefighters responded around 12:18 p.m. to a report of a 2-vehicle crash with injuries.

The sheriff’s office says a preliminary investigation shows a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria driven by a 49-year-old man from the Town of Scott was traveling southbound on STH 57 when the operator attempted to make a left turn onto Gersek Rd. While navigating the turn, the vehicle was stuck by a 2024 Ford Edge traveling northbound, driven by a 65-year-old man from Arizona.

The driver of the Ford Crown Victoria was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford Edge and a 60-year-old woman passenger were transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for medical treatment.
