Medford, MA : One dead in Medford motorcycle crash on Route 16 at Interstate 93 on Friday night, September 5, 2014

Massachusetts state police say they are trying to figure out why a motorcycle crashed into a bicycle in Medford, killing the 29-year-old bicyclist from Somerville. Police said on Saturday that troopers responding to reports of a serious crash on Route 16 at Interstate 93 found the bicyclists with serious, life-threatening injuries on Friday night. The man was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he died. Police identified the motorcyclist as a 52-year-old man from Topsfield. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities did not immediately release their names because their relatives had not been notified.
