Wrens, GA : Infant killed in Wrens crash on Kings Mill Road on Monday, 2nd March, 2020

A Wrens infant died after being ejected from a vehicle in an accident Monday on Kings Mill Road.

According to a Georgia State Patrol report, the accident occurred on Kings Mill Road around 1:30 p.m. The vehicle was traveling south on Kings Mill when the driver lost control.

The vehicle hit a light pole and overturned. According to the report, three-weeks old Raelyn Gilmore was in the back seat and the child restraint was improperly used. Raelyn was ejected from the vehicle and taken to AU Medical Center.

The driver and another passenger were also taken to AU Medical Center for an evaluation.

The Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is conducting an investigation into the accident. Charges, if any, are pending the outcome of the investigation.
