ANTIOCH, CA : Two seriously hurt in solo-vehicle crash on Sunday, November 27th 2016
Two people suffered major injuries Sunday after their car hit a tree near Hillcrest and Sterling Hill drives, according to the Contra Costa Fire Protection District. The accident occurred shortly before 3 p.m.
One of the victims was airlifted to John Muir Medical, while the other was taken to the same hospital by ambulance. One of the injured was a 21-year-old man; the age and gender of the second victim were not immediately known, said Robert Marshall, a ConFire spokesman. According to other news reports, the second victim is a 19-year-old woman and the car involved is a Kia Optima.
Investigators with the Antioch Police Department are still working to determine the cause of the accident. Check back for updates.
