Pickens County, SC : One man dead following a Christmas evening crash in Pickens County, December 25, 2014

One man is dead following a Christmas evening crash, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the driver of a car lost control around 5:20p.m. Thursday night on Brezeale Road, about two miles south of Pickens.

According to investigators the driver of the vehicle ran off the right side of the road, struck a culvert and then crashed near a tree.

The Highway Patrol says the driver was not wearing a seat belt and was partially thrown from the vehicle.

The man was taken to Baptist Easley Hospital, where he died.

His name has not been released.
