A pickup truck passenger was killed and two other occupants critically injured in a two-vehicle collision early Thursday morning on a Lanier County road.
Julio Perez, unknown age, of Pearson was declared dead at the scene, according to a report issued by Georgia State Patrol Post 31.
He was wearing a seatbelt and had been sitting in the front passenger seat.
Perez was in the green 2003 Ford F-150 with driver Alberto Vargas, 70, and backseat passengers Fernando Baltazar, 62, and Christian Rodriguez, 25, all of Pearson.
Vargas was unrestrained and suffered a head injury, according to the GSP. Baltazar was also unrestrained and suffered internal injuries. Rodriguez was restrained and suffered only minor injuries, according to GSP.
Troopers called a Life Flight helicopter to the scene but it was unable to respond because of weather conditions.

At 6:50 a.m. Thursday, the southbound Ford F-150 collided head-on with a northbound grey 2013 Volkswagen Passat along Ga. 31 near Tanner Lane in Lanier County, according to GSP.
"The Passat traveled into the southbound lane of Ga. 31 and struck the F-150 in the passenger-side front end with the passenger-side front end of the Passat," according to the GSP report. "After impact, the Passat left the west shoulder of the roadway and came to final rest facing west. The F-150 overturned and came to rest facing west in the middle of Ga. 31."
Louis Thompson, 22, of Valdosta was reportedly driving the Passat, according to the GSP.
