Lynchburg,VA : Two hospitalized after Altavista head-on crash on May, Wednesday 2nd 2018

Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle, head-on collision Wednesday morning.

The Altavista Police Department responded to the wreck at the 1400 block of Bedford Avenue around 7:55 a.m., according to Officer JJ Rea.


Information on the identities of those involved and the severity of their injuries was not immediately available.

Police rerouted traffic around Bedford Avenue for about an hour as crews worked to clear the scene, Rea said.

Charges are pending.

The Altavista Fire Company and Campbell County Public Safety Department also responded to the crash, Rea said.
