COLUMBIA, SC : 1 displaced after car crashes into Richland County apartment on Sunday, 17th November 2024

The Columbia-Richland Fire Department (CRFD) announced Sunday night that one person is without a home after a car hit a building.

Fire officials said they responded to the 1200 block of Metze Road at around 4:45 p.m. Sunday.

When they arrived, they found a car had driven into the corner of an apartment, causing structural damage that left the unit uninhabitable.

No people were injured during the crash, according to CRFD. The driver of the vehicle had run away from the crash site.
