No one was injured in a one-vehicle wreck on I-40 near Silver Point as heavy rains passed through the area Friday morning, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
John Dickerson, 68, of Spring Hill was driving a 2005 Mercury sedan eastbound on the interstate near the 270 mile marker when he hydroplaned and crashed into the guard rail, according to the report by Trooper Mark Miller.
Miller said the vehicle sustained "disabling damage," but Dickerson was uninjured.
Traffic was briefly backed up until the accident scene was cleared.
