Meriden, CT: 43-year-old William Cardona killed in crash in Meriden on Monday, August 3rd 2015

Meriden police are currently investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Monday morning.According to police, officers responded to River Road shortly before 1:30 after receiving 911 calls about the crash. The call indicated the operator of the motorcycle appeared to have serious injuries.Police say they found a single Harley Davidson motorcycle that was traveling west down River Road. An early investigation found that the motorcycle had crossed the double yellow line for an unknown reason, traveling off the left side of the roadway.The operator, 43-year-old William Cardona Junior, was sent to MidState Medical Center by ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead. Police said Cardona wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, which led to his serious head injuries.
